SmartCDRipper is an easy to use tool that lets you extract audio tracks from your music CDs and converts them to some of the most commonly used audio formats.
Its features include support for the popular MP3, WAV and OGG formats for output files, allowing you to configure basic settings like bitrate, mode (stereo, dual channel, etc), max bitrate, emphasis, and more (for mp3 files). You can also set output folder for the songs you extract, rules for filenames including information you want, and playlist format.
This application uses Free CDDB to retrieve information about your CDs, like for instance artist, album, genre, and names of the songs so you don't have to insert all this information manually.
This ripper worked for me, it is easy to use, has a nice and intuitive interface, if you are a basic user it will still be a simple process, but adds enough settings for advanced users who want more control.
If you want to test this application, a free but limited trial (only allows you to extract the first 5 tracks of the CD) is available for download at the developer's site.
